Reference Overlay

Reference overlays are derived from measurements of original mouthpieces and are provided to help you explore design changes from a familiar starting point. Due to manufacturing tolerances and production runs potentially spanning decades, they will differ slightly from the original product. For original two-piece cups, the data is aligned with the end face. For original one-piece cups, the end face position is estimated.

These presets are starting templates based on standard Alpine Mouthpiece models. You can fine-tune all dimensions afterward. Revert to the last selected standard model by clicking the reset button.

Basic Dimensions

Simple cup and backbore alterations may be accomplished here. Full control over cup and backbore shape can be achieved in the Advanced controls.

Fine-tune the cup curve after choosing a preset. Angles control direction; influence controls how strongly that direction shapes the spline.

Fine-tune how the backbore expands from the bore toward the shank exit.

This will be engraved onto the mouthpiece. It should be unique to aid identifcation. Make it fun, but keep it clean! Names from our standard lineup cannot be used. Letters, numbers, most standard symbols, and Western European accented characters are supported.
